On October 1, 2026, the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defense College launched its Month of the Elderly.

As part of this month-long initiative, special attention will be given to veterans of labor, retirees, and people with disabilities who are affiliated with our college.

On the first day, members of the “Zhainar” volunteer movement and activists from “Zhastar Rukhy,” together with Gulzhanar Zhaksylykovna Shaikhina, the deputy director for educational work, visited the residents and presented them with food packages and small gifts.

Throughout the month, college students will visit veterans and retirees in their homes, provide whatever household assistance they can, help with everyday matters, spend time with them, and simply offer their attention and warmth.

This event is not just a campaign, but an opportunity to instill in young people respect for the older generation, compassion, care, and responsibility.
