Students from the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defense College participated in a meeting with Saken Bagdatovich Zhakhanov, a theological specialist and representative of the “Center for the Analysis and Development of Interfaith Relations” at the Akmola Region Department of Religious Affairs.

            During the meeting, issues related to the prevention of religious extremism and terrorism, the signs of destructive religious movements, and the importance of maintaining interfaith harmony and tolerance among young people were discussed. Students were reminded of their responsibility regarding the dissemination of prohibited materials on social media and the need to critically evaluate information shared online.

            At the conclusion of the meeting, students received answers to their questions, as well as recommendations on complying with the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan regarding religion.
