From April 8 to 10, 2026, basketball competitions were held in Kokshetau as part of the “Sunkar” city sports festival, featuring women’s teams from technical, vocational, and post-secondary educational institutions.

            The women’s team from the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defense College performed exceptionally well and took first place in the overall team standings.

            The following students were also recognized in individual categories:

• “Best Player” – Maria Gromak (FC-12B);
• “Defender” – Ulyana Kozyrkova (FC-22A).

            The team was coached by Anastasia Vyacheslavovna Zinina, a lecturer in the Department of Physical Education and Sports. The team representative is Mergen Kokanovich.
