On October 31, 2025, the Department of Civil Defense at the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defense College hosted a master class by vocational training experts, held in the format of a fire and rescue training competition among students. Second-year students majoring in Fire Safety and Emergency Protection took part in the competition.
The event was aimed at improving professional skills, developing team spirit, and honing the practical skills needed by future rescuers and firefighters. The teams demonstrated their knowledge and skills in meeting standards for firefighting and rescue training, working with firefighting equipment, hydraulic tools, and trench tools. Particular attention was paid to the correct use of compressed air breathing apparatus and mountaineering equipment.
All stages of the competition took place at the department's training base - in the training fire and rescue unit, the heat and smoke chamber, and the training tower. The students demonstrated a high level of preparation, organization, and responsibility in completing the tasks assigned to them.
