On October 22, 2025, at the HMCDC, N.A. Akinshin, a lecturer at the Civil Defense Department, held an open practical class on the subject of “Gas and Smoke Protection Training” as part of a series of classes using active forms of educational activities.
The main goal of the class was to improve students' professional readiness and reinforce their theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for rapid response and effective firefighting in conditions unsuitable for breathing.
During the class, students studied key psychophysiological aspects that affect the behavior of gas and smoke protection personnel in extreme conditions, as well as issues related to their safety at work. Particular attention was paid to the psychological aspects of safety management, as well as methods of psychological protection and assistance in emergency situations for gas and smoke protection service units.
