From May 15 to 16, 2025, in the city of Semey is held a national seminar “KitapShakhary - 2025”, the purpose of which is to popularize the book and the development of reading literacy among young people.

​Akmola region was represented at this event by fivecolleges, including the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil DefenceCollege. Director S.J. Turarov and Head of the Library T.K. Bajanova represented the college. Participation in such a significant seminar promotes the exchange of experience, strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and increasing interest in reading among students.
