On February 6, 2025 at the Department of Pedagogical and General Education Disciplines of the HMCDC an integrated open class for 3rd year students of speciality ‘Pedagogy and Methodology of Primary Education’ was held on the theme ‘How to avoid injuries in sports?’. The lesson was organised by teachers Smirnova N.S. and Zanina A.V.  

Students learnt about the main types of injuries, their symptoms and consequences, actively discussed methods of injury prevention in sports, and learnt how to compose and perform simple physical exercises. Special attention was paid to pedagogical techniques and methods that can be used to explain this topic to 4th grade pupils.

The integrated lesson demonstrated the successful integration of knowledge from different areas and emphasised the importance of practical skills in everyday life. The students not only learnt theoretical aspects, but also gained practical skills that can be useful in real situations at school.
