From January 24 to 26, 2025, in the city of Kokshetau held an open regional tournament on pankration, which united the strongest athletes from all over Akmola region.

Valery Motovilov, a student of the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defence College, group OT-22, held three spectacular fights, demonstrating a high level of skill. According to the results of competitions Valery took the honorable second place and successfully passed the selection for the championship of Kazakhstan.
