From February 28 to March 1, 2024, the city of Oskemen hosts the Winter Championship of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in fire and rescue sports «Oskemen-2024».

Yesengazy Bekzhan, a student of the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defence College, OK-31A group, became the champion of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2024 in fire and rescue sports among young men, in the discipline «Climbing the assault ladder».

Kaliollaev Islam, a student of the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defence College, TJ-11B group, took second place among the boys of the middle group in fire and rescue sports in the discipline «Climbing the assault ladder» at the championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2024.
