At the Higher Multidisciplinary College of Civil Protection, a curatorial hour was held dedicated to the Kazakh poet, linguist, public and political figure Olzhas Suleimenov, who is celebrating his 85th anniversary this year. He is a world-class personality, a great poet who has become the pride of the nation. During the curatorial hour, the curators told the students that Olzhas Suleimenov burst into a poetic orbit as swiftly as the first man into space. Then the little-known reporter of the “Kazakhstanskaya Pravda” newspaper won wide readership by writing the poem "Earth, bow to the Man!" about the flight of the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin.
The curatorial hour was held in the spirit of fostering respect for national culture and traditions, increasing interest in the personality of Olzhas Suleimenov.
