On December 20, 2024 in the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defence College biology teacher Smirnova N.S. conducted an open lesson in the group UIA-12 on the topic ‘Occurrence of cancerous neoplasms. The aim of the lesson is to explain the relationship between uncontrolled cell division and the emergence of tumours and to explain the ageing process.

The students studied the mechanisms of cancer development, learnt about the factors influencing their occurrence. They also familiarised themselves with modern theories of ageing organisms.
