On May 22, 2024, the Kazakhstan karate-do shotokan championship among adults was held in Shymkent.

Students of the Higher Multidisciplinary Civil Defence College, FC-22B group Nikolenko Ruslan, FC-12C group Likhach Vladislav and PB-22B group Sutbaev Asanali became champions in men's team kata and team kumite.

Likhach Vladislav won a silver medal in individual kumite in the weight category up to 65 kg, Ruslan Nikolenko won a bronze medal in the weight category over 75 kg.  

Coaches Ruslan Dukembayev, Ernat Sharipov, Assel Kalymova, Aizhan Kopash and Aynash Sovetova prepared athletes.
