On November 22, 2023, the VIII Republican Championship of Professional Skills «WorldSkills Kazakhstan» was opened in Astana.

The speakers at the event were Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beisembayev Gani Bektayuly, Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ospan Edil Sabyrovich and President of the Non-profit joint stock company «Talap» Utelbaeva Sholpan Anuarbekkyzy.

As part of the opening ceremony, all the contestants and experts took the oath of the WorldSkills participant.
