From February 4 to 12, 2022, the city of Shchuchinsk hosted the Winter Basketball Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among girls born in 2004 and younger. Following the results of the games, the team of Akmola region closed the top three, taking third place. The team consisted of female students at the MCGZ: Kamila Amanzholova is a student of FC-22 group, Evgeniya Firsova is a student of FC-12 A group, Tolegen Alima is a student of FC-12A group, Kamila Khamitova is a student of FC-12A group, Rusalina Lada is a student of FC-12B group.
